Google Maps Bug Hides Hotel Locations Across Devices
A widespread bug in Google Maps is causing hotel locations to vanish from search results on various devices. The issue affects users across Android, iOS, and desktop browsers when searching for hotels on the navigation app.
The problem seems uniquely targeted at lodging searches, as other types of searches such as restaurants or local landmarks still populate red pins as they should. However, hotel queries yield an almost empty map screen with no interactive location markers or pricing overlays.
User reports on Reddit and Google's community support forums first highlighted the issue. Testing shows mixed behavior across mobile operating systems, with Android displaying hotel pins normally in some locations but iOS versions showing only a fraction of expected hotel pins in those exact same locations.
