Google Maps' Hidden Feature Revolutionizes Trip Planning
A solo trip to an unfamiliar country forced Mahnoor Faisal to rely on Google Maps more than ever. She discovered the 'Lists' feature, which allows users to group places they save into custom collections. This simple tool replaced three separate apps she was using for her trip planning: Google Keep for notes, Google Sheets for organizing ideas, and Wanderlog for mapping out places geographically.
The Lists feature lets users create a list for each day of their trip, attach a note to individual places, and rearrange the order of stops. Faisal used this feature to plan her itinerary and ended up replacing Wanderlog with Google Maps, which provided a visual representation of her planned route. She also utilized emojis to differentiate between types of locations.
The Lists feature has become an essential tool for Faisal's trip planning, allowing her to keep everything organized in one place without the need for separate apps.
