The 3D immersive view shows building outlines that are see-through, allowing users to know exactly where they are and what's coming next. Road markings are also clear, making navigation easier and safer. Voice guidance has been improved as well, with Google Maps now providing more detailed instructions.

While Gunther still loves Waze for its community-driven alerts about road hazards and speed traps, he believes that the new immersive view in Google Maps is a significant improvement over its competitor.
