Google Merges Messaging with Note-Taking in Latest Android Update
Google has upgraded its messaging app by integrating Google Keep, allowing users to create and edit shared notes directly within conversations.
This feature is part of the September Android Drop, which also includes customization options for chat themes. Users can now add backgrounds and colors to individual conversations, making it easier to identify different groups or topics.
The integration with Google Keep aims to make group chats more productive by allowing users to view, edit, and add to shared notes without leaving the conversation. This could help prevent endless scrolling through messages and reduce clutter in group chats.
Examples of how this feature can be used include creating a grocery list or vacation planning checklist, or even keeping track of movie recommendations for a group outing.
