Google Messages Gets Collaborative Checklists via Google Keep Integration
Google's latest Android Drop brings several new features to various apps on Android devices. Among them is an unexpected collaboration between Google Messages and Keep, which enables users to create and share checklists directly within messages.
The feature allows anyone in a message thread, including groups, to collaboratively mark items as done or edit the checklist. This can be initiated by tapping the (+) icon on the left of the message input box, where an option to 'Create List' appears as a suggested action.
When someone mentions a collection of items that can clearly use being sorted into a list, Google's demo shows that Messages will prompt users to generate a list through Suggested actions. This integration aims to make planning events and trips more efficient within the messaging app.
