Google Messages Gets Custom Chat Themes
Google has added a new feature to its Messages app, allowing users to customize individual conversations with custom chat themes. This feature is exclusive to Android devices and requires RCS messaging to be enabled.
To use this feature, users must first ensure that Google Messages is updated to the latest version. They can do this by checking for updates in the Google Play Store. Once the app is up-to-date, users can enable RCS chats within the Messages settings.
To change a chat theme, users can select the conversation they want to modify and tap on the recipient's name or group name at the top of the screen. From there, they can choose from various colour presets and add wallpapers to their conversations. Users can browse Google's collection of wallpapers or use an image saved in their gallery.
It is worth noting that custom chat themes are limited to the user's device and do not affect how the conversation appears to the recipient.
