Google Messages Lets Users Personalize Chats with Custom Bubble Colors and Wallpapers
Google's Messages app has finally caught up with its competitors by allowing users to fully personalize their chats. This new feature, which was announced in a Google blog post, lets users change both bubble accent colors and wallpaper for each chat individually.
To enable this feature, RCS must be enabled on the user's device, but once it is, customizing a chat is as simple as tapping on the name of the person or group at the top of the screen. From there, users can choose from a color palette to select a shade for the chat, and browse through Google's selection of curated wallpapers or upload one from their gallery.
The changes will only be visible to the user making them, not to the people they're chatting with. This means that users can experiment with different looks without cluttering up their contacts' messaging apps.
