Google Messages Unlocks Custom Chat Themes for Android Users
Google has finally rolled out personalized chat themes for its Messages app, allowing users to customize their conversation backgrounds and colors.
The feature is available on both standard releases and beta builds of Google Messages, but users must ensure that Rich Communication Services (RCS) are active. To access the theme customization menu, open Google Messages, select a text thread, tap the three vertical dots in the top-right corner, and choose 'Chat theme.'
Users can pick from eight additional color styles or upload their own image as a wallpaper. The customization options only affect the user's view of the conversation, not anyone else's.
