Google Opens First Flagship Store Outside US in Tokyo's Omotesando
Google has finally opened its first flagship retail store outside of the United States in Tokyo's Omotesando district. The three-story Google Store Omotesando is located in Tokyu Plaza Omotesando and offers a wide range of products, including Pixel smartphones, Nest devices, Fitbit trackers, and accessories.
The basement level provides repair services for Pixel phones, while the first floor showcases the full hardware lineup. On the second floor, customers can experience the impressive camera capabilities of the Pixel 11 Pro, which can zoom in up to 120 times.
Google's vice president of Google Store, Mauria Finley, stated at the opening ceremony that Japan is a critical market for Pixel and that user growth has been rapid. The store will also offer workshops and setup help for new and longtime Pixel owners.
Although Google has not confirmed further international openings, early coverage suggests that the UK, Australia, and Canada may be next on the list.
