Google.org Invests $25K in Virginia Women and Family Support Center Housing Initiatives

The Virginia Women and Family Support Center has received a $25,000 investment from Google.org to expand its services for pregnant women and young families experiencing homelessness. This funding recognizes that stable housing can significantly impact an entire family's trajectory.

VAWFSC provides up to 24 months of stable housing while clients work toward long-term independence. During this time, mothers have access to prenatal and postpartum care coordination, mental health counseling, parenting education, financial literacy, workforce development, childcare support, and other resources designed to help families build a stronger future.

The need for these services is growing; in 2025 alone, VAWFSC served over 1,200 women, children, and families through their housing, maternal health, and community support programs. Google's support will allow VAWFSC to continue meeting this demand.
