Google Overhauls Search Campaign Testing Tools with AI-Powered Updates
Google has announced three significant changes to its Search campaign testing and planning tools. The updates include a budget and target test that spans multiple campaigns, experiments that can now be run with brand and location settings switched on, and a forecasting tool that allows users to push suggested changes directly into live campaigns without needing to export them.
The multi-campaign A/B test will allow advertisers to test different budgets and ROI targets across multiple Search campaigns inside a single experiment. This feature is expected to roll out in September. Additionally, AI Max experiments can now be run with brand and location settings switched on, removing the need for advertisers to strip these controls out before running a test.
The Performance Planner tool has also been updated to allow users to review and commit suggested changes directly into live campaigns from within the planner itself. This change is designed to make it easier for advertisers to implement suggested budget or bid adjustments based on forecasted performance.
