Google Photos Integration Transforms Gemini Spark into AI Photo Assistant
Google has integrated its Google Photos service into Gemini Spark, making it an AI-powered photo assistant. Users can now manage, edit, and organize their photos and videos using multi-step workflows with a single prompt.
With this integration, Gemini can perform various tasks such as searching and curating photos, enhancing or stylizing images, creating collages and videos, generating event summaries, and extracting text from images. For example, users can ask Gemini to find the best photos from a recent trip, enhance selected images, add them to a shared album, and draft an email containing the album link.
The integration also allows users to search for photos and videos based on subjects, locations, dates, or events and ask Gemini to select the best images and filter out duplicates. Users can share album links through connected applications such as Gmail, Google Docs, and Messages.
Google is gradually rolling out the Google Photos availability in Gemini Spark, and the feature may not yet be available to all eligible users. The integration has limited availability, currently only available in English through the Gemini mobile app and web version of Gemini.
