Google Photos Saves Screenshots from Oblivion with Powerful Search Feature
Google Photos has turned a chore into an opportunity for me - managing hundreds of screenshots. I used to see my growing collection as clutter that I would eventually have to clean up, but now I don't feel nearly as much pressure to delete them.
The key is Google Photos' ability to search what's inside my screenshots. It can look for text within photos, which means I can type a word or phrase from a screenshot into the Search box and find images containing that text. This makes a huge difference when my screenshots are full of random information.
On Android, open Google Photos, tap the magnifying glass icon, and type what you're looking for. Your screenshots need to be backed up first, but once they are, those screenshots become part of your Google Photos library, and you can find them using Photos' search tools.
