Google Pixel 11 Pro Brings Enhanced Camera Features to Creators

The Google Pixel 11 Pro has been upgraded with several features aimed at photographers and videographers. One of the notable upgrades is the new Tensor G6 processor, which makes everything faster and more efficient. The telephoto camera on the Pro model phone now has a larger sensor with 30% more light sensitivity than its predecessor.

The Pixel 11 Pro's Magic Capture feature allows users to capture video and photos simultaneously. After recording, users can tap into their gallery and Magic Capture will automatically pull out the best still photos from the video. The resulting images are full-resolution at 12 megapixels, but the user cannot manually configure how many photos they want generated.

The feature is meant for people to set it and forget it, as the author notes that the video quality in Magic Capture mode is not on par with regular video recording. However, Magic Capture can be useful for capturing moments where a photo might not have been taken otherwise.

Another new feature is Google's Camera Looks, which are essentially live filters that can be customized and tweaked with pro-level features. Users can choose from six different customizable camera looks, including Editorial, which the author found to be their favorite. The base camera look can also be changed, with options such as Vanilla and Portrait Mode.

The Creator Suite is a new menu in the video settings that offers five tools specifically designed for creators or anyone who creates content with their phone. These tools include project folders, a teleprompter, an audio visualizer, speech enhancement mode, and a social grid overlay. The author finds these features to be useful and has not seen them on any other phones before.

The Pixel 11 Pro also features a 5x telephoto portrait Zoom and a 120x Pro Zoom that gets AI-enhanced after the photo is taken. However, the author notes that they have yet to find a suitable use case for the 120X Zoom.
