Google Pixel 11 Pro Fails to Impress Upgraders with Minor Refinements
A recent upgrade cycle has left one owner feeling underwhelmed by Google's Pixel 11 Pro. The individual had been eyeing the new device for months, but after learning about its features, they felt that it wasn't a significant enough upgrade from their current phone.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL has been in their possession for over a year and has held up surprisingly well, despite some persistent software quirks. The owner had initially planned to upgrade due to issues such as erratic battery drain after updates and unstable cellular drops, but the announcement of the Pixel 11 Pro changed their perspective.
The new device boasts improved specs, including larger ultrawide and telephoto sensors for enhanced Night Sight performance, a Tensor G6 processor for increased speed and efficiency, and flashy hardware touches like HiLight. Additionally, there are fresh software features such as Magic Capture, Camera Looks, and 120x Super Res Zoom.
However, the owner felt that these upgrades were more refinements than genuine improvements, particularly after two generations. The Pixel 11 Pro's design has been criticized for being minorly refined rather than visually changed, with chunky display bezels and the same Gorilla Glass Victus 2 as its predecessor.
