Google Pixel 11 Pro Review: A Modest Upgrade with Limited Impact
The Google Pixel 11 Pro smartphone has been released, and while it offers some improvements over its predecessor, it feels like more of a modest upgrade than a major step forward. The phone starts at $1,099 USD or $1,499 in Canada, making it pricier than last year's model.
The Pixel 11 Pro boasts a 6.3-inch Super Actua display with a refresh rate ranging from 1 Hz to 120 Hz and peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits. The display looks stunning and is easy to read in direct sunlight, thanks to Gorilla Glass Victus 2 covering the front.
The phone runs on Google's Tensor G6 chip with a Titan M3 chip handling security. It starts with 256 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM, but moving up to 512 GB or 1 TB of storage increases RAM to 16 GB and adds Zoned UFS for faster load times.
One notable downgrade is the base model's drop from 16 GB of RAM to 12 GB compared to last year's 128 GB version. There is no microSD slot, so choose your storage capacity carefully. The phone's battery life is good but not exceptional, lasting about a full day with regular use.
