Google Pixel 11 Pro Review: Display and Battery Life Get a Boost
The Google Pixel 11 Pro boasts an extra-bright 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display, with slightly higher peak brightness compared to its predecessor. The screen resolution is still 1,280 x 2,856px and supports HDR10+, allowing users to enjoy HDR content on streaming platforms like Netflix and YouTube.
Our lab tests show that the Pixel 11 Pro's max display brightness is almost exactly in line with Google's advertised figure of 2,400 nits. However, we recorded a lower maximum brightness compared to other industry leaders, such as Samsung and Apple, who offer anti-reflective coatings on their displays.
The battery life has seen an improvement over the previous generation, despite having almost the same capacity as last year's model. The Active Use Score of 15:38h is roughly in line with competing models from Samsung and Apple. However, Google's phone still trails behind Chinese rivals who use silicon-carbon battery technology.
The Pixel 11 Pro supports 30W wired charging over Power Delivery and wireless charging at up to 25W with a compatible magnetic charger. The new Extreme Charging mode can be enabled for individual charging sessions when the battery level is below 50%, but it didn't increase the peak charging power in our testing.
