Google Pixel 11 Pro XL Benchmarks Show Tensor G6 Struggling to Keep Up
The highly anticipated Google Pixel 11 Pro XL is set to be unveiled at a Made by Google event tomorrow evening, but it has already popped up on Geekbench, revealing some concerning performance metrics.
According to the benchmark test, the Pixel 11 Pro XL's Tensor G6 chipset trails behind its competitors, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max. In single-core tests, the Pixel 11 Pro XL is weaker by 29% compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max and 39% compared to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
However, it's in multicore testing where things get worrying - the Pixel 11 Pro XL is 49% slower than the Galaxy S26 Ultra. This comes as a surprise, given that Google's Tensor chips were expected to bring a performance boost with their move to TSMC's more advanced 2nm process.
While this test may be an outlier, it raises concerns about the Pixel 11 Pro XL's ability to keep up with its competitors.
