Google Pixel Phones Get Slimmer Cameras and More AI Features
Google has unveiled its latest lineup of Pixel phones, which come with slimmer cameras and more AI features. The new devices are designed to make it easier for users to accomplish tasks without having to tap or swipe as much.
The search giant is hoping that the improvements will give users a reason to buy new models and expand the number of people using its AI tools. Forrester senior analyst Andrew Cornwall noted that Google continues to tout new software features, primarily around AI, as the reason to upgrade.
One of the new features is live translation for videos, podcasts, and voice messages. The Pixel Pro models also come with a tool called HiLight, which allows users to assign a color to their favorite contacts and have the phone light up in that color when they call and the phone is placed face down.
The company has eliminated the 128 gigabyte Pixel 11, which was its lowest-priced option at $800. The new phones will start at $900, with the Pixel Pro Fold starting at $1,900.
