Google Plans $17B Data Center Campus in Wyoming
The Metropolitan Downtown's event room in Cheyenne was packed on Wednesday evening as members of the public, local and state government officials, industrial developers, and more gathered to hear about Project Tembo, Google's proposed $17 billion data center campus in Laramie County.
Alyssa Tolman, a reporter for the Wyoming Tribune Eagle, provided details about the project during her presentation. According to Tolman, Google's planned investment is one of the largest economic development projects in the state's history.
Project Tembo aims to establish a massive data center campus in Laramie County, bringing with it significant job opportunities and revenue for the local economy. The estimated cost of the project stands at $17 billion, which would make it one of the most expensive infrastructure developments in Wyoming's history.
