Google Play ASL Season 22 Ro16 Week 2 Kicks Off at FreecUP Studio
The 'Google Play ASL Season 22' Ro16 Week 2 has kicked off at FreecUP Studio in Daechi-dong, Seoul. The event will feature matches played on 'StarCraft: Remastered', with eight players competing for the remaining four quarterfinal spots.
On the 14th and 15th of this month, Group C and D matches will take place, respectively. In Week 1 of the Round of 16 held on the 7th and 8th, Park Sang-hyun (Z), Yoo Young-jin (T), Shin Sang-moon (T), and Jaedong (Z) secured their spots in the quarterfinals.
In Week 2, Group C features Lee Jae-ho (T), Jung Young-jae (T), Kim Min-chul (Z), and Jo Il-jang (Z). The group includes three former ASL champions - Lee Jae-ho, Jung Young-jae, and Kim Min-chul - along with runner-up Jo Il-jang.
Group D on the 15th features Jang Yoon-chul (P), Kim Jae-hyun (T), Lee Young-han (Z), and Kim Jung-woo (Z). The group includes Jang Yoon-chul, who earned a seed by reaching the semifinals last season, alongside Kim Jae-hyun and Lee Young-han, who advanced from the Round of 24.
Google Play joins as an official sponsor this season. All matches will feature a live audience, with live streams and VODs available on the SOOP esports page.
