The Google Play Store has opened up to third-party app stores after years of court battles.

Aptoide Games, a gaming-focused version of the Aptoide store, is currently available for installation on Android devices.

This marks the first time users can install rival app stores directly from within the Google Play Store.

The new regulation was sparked by Epic Games' court battle with Google and will eventually allow other third-party stores to enter the market.
