Google Play Store Now Accepts Venmo Payments
Google has expanded its digital payment options by integrating Venmo into its Google Play store. Users in the United States can now use their Venmo service to pay for apps, games, subscriptions, and other digital content.
The update makes digital purchases more convenient, allowing users to link their Venmo account through the payment methods section of their profiles and access funds from their Venmo wallet or linked bank accounts and cards.
This new feature also supports tipping content creators in various apps and paying for recurring subscriptions. The expansion of digital payments on Google Play comes as mobile app market transactions continue to grow rapidly, with total global user spending on in-app purchases exceeding $167 billion in 2025, a 10.6% increase from the same period a year earlier.
