Google Play Suffers Server-Side Issues in India
Google Play users in India are experiencing issues accessing the platform, with some seeing a 500 error and others unable to download or update apps. The problems appear to be server-side rather than related to individual user internet connections or phones.
Nearly 450 users reported facing issues with Google Play as per website performance tracking platform Downdetector. A 500 error typically indicates that the problem lies on the server side, and not with a user's phone or internet connection.
Google's Play status dashboard shows an ongoing incident affecting 'Play Billing Purchases, Play Developer Subscriptions, and In-App Purchases API' as well as 'Play Subscriptions Renewal and Management'. The company has not yet provided further information on the cause of the issue.
