Google Prepares to Unveil Groundbreaking Pixel 11 Series at Made by Google Event
Google's highly anticipated Made by Google 2026 event is just around the corner, set to take place on August 12 at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET. The tech giant will unveil a slew of new products, including the Pixel 11 series, Pixel Watch 5, and possibly its first AirTag competitor, the Pixel Tag.
The Pixel 11 series is expected to feature incremental design updates, but the real star of the show is the Tensor G6 chipset, which boasts a 2nm process node - a significant leap in manufacturing technology. This promises substantial gains in power efficiency and performance, addressing one of the main criticisms of the previous Pixel 10 series.
The new chip will be paired with a MediaTek M90 modem, replacing Samsung's Exynos parts, to further improve connectivity and reduce power draw. The design language remains familiar, but the camera bar now houses a new feature called Pixel Glow, an RGB LED notification light that echoes the Gemini AI's rainbow motif.
The Pixel 11 series will start at $899 for 256GB storage, with prices increasing across the board. The Pixel Watch 5 will retain its circular design and 41mm/45mm sizes but features an upgraded Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 processor and doubles the storage to 64GB. The Pixel Tag is expected to support UWB for precise tracking and integrate with Google's Find Hub network.
