Google Previews New Premium Laptops with Android Integration
Google has scheduled an event for September 15, 2026, to showcase its new Googlebook product line. The media preview will take place in New York and is expected to reveal the upcoming Googlebook laptops from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. These premium laptops will be able to run Android apps and seamlessly connect to apps and files from an Android phone.
The 'Googlebook' brand combines the best of ChromeOS and Android, but they won't replace Chromebooks. Instead, they will integrate Google's new agentic AI system, Gemini Intelligence, which is also coming to the latest Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones. This integration allows users to select anything to ask, compare, or create with Gemini using the OS' pointer.
One of the features of Googlebooks is 'Create my Widget', which enables users to create a custom widget by describing it to the chatbot. While it's too early to tell if Googlebooks will challenge Windows' dominance on the laptop market, the combination of premium specs and intelligent features is promising.
