Google Restores Reach Controls for Lookalike Segments in Video Campaigns
Google has expanded its Lookalike segments to Video campaigns, reversing a change made in March 2026 for Demand Gen.
The company's help documentation now describes how to build Lookalike segments inside Video campaigns, including the three reach settings: narrow (2.5% of users), balanced (5%), and broad (10%).
For Video brand campaigns, first-party lists can seed audience expansion, subject to a minimum of more than 100 matched people.
The mechanics for building Lookalike segments in Video campaigns match those for Demand Gen, where a seed list is supplied from first-party data and Google's systems identify other accounts sharing the attributes of the people on the list.
