A recent Google Home update has resolved an issue affecting older Chromecast streamers and Google Home Mini devices. The problem, which first emerged in May, caused setup issues and some functionality problems on Android versions of the Google Home app.

The original Chromecast, released over a decade ago, still receives software support from Google despite being technically unsupported. However, users have reported various issues with this device over the years.

Google has confirmed that the update to version 4.26 of the Google Home app should resolve these issues. Users can download or update their app via the Play Store.
