Google Rolls Out AI Image Creation Tool, Pics, to Workspace Customers
Google has started rolling out its AI image creation and editing tool, Google Pics, to Workspace business customers and subscribers of Google AI Pro and Ultra plans. The tool is designed to make it easier for businesses to create professional-grade images for marketing campaigns, customer presentations, and product storytelling.
Pics combines image generation with object-level editing controls, allowing users to isolate specific elements in an image and move, resize, or transform them without altering the rest of the picture. The tool also includes features like in-image text editing, crop and upscale functions, and collaboration capabilities.
The rollout is part of Google's efforts to address business demand for AI image generation tools that can produce consistent results and streamline workflows across multiple apps. Pics will be available on Workspace Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, and Enterprise Plus plans, as well as on Google AI Pro and Ultra personal plans and the Google AI Pro for Education plan.
While Pics is a separate tool from Google Photos, which remains focused on personal photo backup and organization, the new tool is designed to be used inside Workspace for generating and editing project images. The Drive integration and ability to edit nearly any saved image in Drive will arrive in the coming weeks.
