Google has rolled out updates to its Google Tag and Google Tag Manager, aimed at streamlining measurement setup and improving performance. According to Ginny Marvin, the Google Ads Liaison, these changes are designed to make it easier for advertisers to effectively measure website performance.

The key features of the update include a consolidated tagging tool that integrates the advanced capabilities of Tag Manager with Google Ads and Google Analytics, improved performance through simplified data transmission, no-code event tracking, new visual tagging, and an in-account update guide.

Marvin explained that the changes are intended to provide a more unified experience across Google's tagging products. The updated interface is designed to be user-friendly for both new and experienced advertisers, making it easier to navigate their tagging setup.
