Google Spared Breakup in Antitrust Ruling
A federal judge in Virginia has ordered Google to retool its system for digital advertising, sparing the company from being broken up as part of an antitrust lawsuit.
The decision by U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema marks the second time this year that Google has avoided a breakup sought by the Justice Department.
Google's corporate parent, Alphabet Inc., has a market value of $4.11 trillion and nearly $400 billion in annual ad sales.
