Google Spoils Its Own Surprise: New Pixel Phones Revealed Early

Google's Made by Google 2026 event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday, but the company has already announced a number of new products and features just eight hours ahead of time.

The Pixel 11 series, including the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL, have been revealed, with the latter two boasting brighter displays that can reach up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness. The Pixel 11 Pro XL also features a new glass fiber composite material that makes it nearly impossible to crack.

The Tensor G6 chip powers all three phones, bringing upgrades such as faster web browsing and app opening times. Additionally, the camera systems have been enhanced, with the main sensor on each phone offering 56% more light sensitivity than before.
