Google Taps Dun & Bradstreet for Enhanced Verification in Finance
Google has integrated its Gemini Enterprise platform for financial services with Dun & Bradstreet's (D&B) Commercial Graph. This integration uses Model Context Protocol (MCP) to combine D&B's audited, third-party context layer directly into Gemini AI agents.
The result is a more reliable and secure path to verification in heavily regulated industries like finance, which requires strict safeguards for KYC (know your customer) and AML (anti-money laundering) purposes. By relying on advanced content data layers, institutions can reduce challenges associated with deploying agentic AI workflows in these sectors.
Gemini Enterprise includes a managed Financial Research agent that queries external data streams in real-time, using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to cross-reference customer data with D&B's registry. This integration puts D&B's verified data directly into the agent's path, allowing for consistent and auditable results.
This move is part of Google's efforts to support a more reliable AI workflow in finance, which can help institutions evaluate consumers and businesses, extend credit, and manage risk more effectively. However, only 8% of financial institutions say their enterprise data is ready for the technology, according to a new D&B survey.
