Google Teams Up with Ohio State for AI-Focused Campus Space

Ohio State University (OSU) is teaming up with Google to establish an on-campus space within its Innovation District, located on the university's west campus. This partnership complements OSU's ongoing AI fluency initiative, which aims to ensure every student understands AI tools and how to use them effectively in their field of study.

Through this collaboration, OSU will gain access to Google's DeepMind artificial intelligence research laboratory, featuring personalized AI assistants for students. Additionally, the university will introduce a 'first-of-its-kind' research ambassador internship program courtesy of Google Public Sector, which works with government agencies and educational institutions.

OSU considers this partnership one of the largest foundational collaborations between Google and any US university, with Google's on-campus space being among the first of its kind. The university plans to formally preview the space and release more details later this fall.
