Google Tests Default Push into AI Mode for Certain Queries

Google is testing a new AI Overview experience that pushes searchers into AI Mode by default. This means that users will no longer have to click on the 'Show more' button to see the full AI answer, which includes a much fuller response and an Ask anything box already opened.

The change was first spotted by Chris Long, who posted an example of this new experience on X. According to him, this is how Google continues to push AI Mode as the default search experience.

When users query something that triggers the new AI Overview experience, they will see a fuller response, with the Ask anything box already opened, pushing down the organic search results way below the AI answer.
