Google Translate Boosts Live Translation Capabilities
Google Translate has updated its live translation feature on both iOS and Android devices. The upgrade brings natural, near-real-time audio translations to over 70 languages.
The new updates include two key features: background translation and direct earpiece support. On Android, users can now keep live translations running in the background, allowing for multitasking or screen locking during longer sessions that last more than five minutes. iOS support for this feature is coming soon.
iOS users worldwide can now get live translations directly through their phone's earpiece, which was previously only available on Android devices. This feature is useful for situations where headphones are not readily available, such as in noisy airports or crowded tours.
