Google Translate Gets Boost with Background Translation and Earpiece Listening
Google has updated its Translate app to allow for more seamless use of its Live Translate feature. On Android devices, users can now keep a live translation session running even when they switch apps or lock their screen.
This means that users listening to a tour guide or conversation can continue doing other tasks without having to stay within the Translate app itself.
The update also brings earpiece listening to iPhone users worldwide, allowing them to hear translated audio through their device's built-in earpiece by holding it up to their ear.
This feature is intended for use in noisy environments or crowded areas where following a conversation might be difficult.
