Google Translate Goes Offline with New Live Support Feature
Google Translate is expanding its offline capabilities by adding support for Live Translate without a data connection. The new feature allows users to hold conversations in real-time, even when they don't have an internet connection.
The supported languages include English and nine others: French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Russian, and Swedish.
Initially, the offline Live Translate support was expected to be limited to six languages: English, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish. However, Google has now expanded this list to include the additional five languages mentioned above.
It's worth noting that offline Live Translate only supports conversations between each of these languages and English, not directly between any two other languages.
