Google Tunes Up Personalization with AI-Powered Feed Customization
Google is upgrading its services to offer more personalization features for users. The changes affect Google Search, Discover, and News apps, which will now allow users to set preferred websites and customize their feed using AI chat.
The company's Discover app, which provides a personalized feed with news and interesting content, will soon let users freely customize the topic selection by clicking on any story in the feed. Users can describe what they want to see more or less of, and Discover will implement these preferences in real-time.
Additionally, Google Search is introducing a one-click solution for setting preferred sources, making it easier for users to prioritize trusted publications without affecting search diversity. The feature allows publishers to integrate a button on their website that adds the publication directly to Google Search.
