Google TV Freeplay Overhauls with 10K+ Free Movies, New Live Channels
Google TV's Freeplay service has undergone significant upgrades, offering users more than 10,000 free movies and TV shows on demand. This expansion comes with no subscription required, making it a free alternative to paid streaming services.
The addition of video-on-demand content marks a departure from the service's previous focus on ad-supported live TV channels. The new catalog includes titles from studios such as A24 and Lionsgate, with movies like Lady Bird and Seventeen Again available for viewing.
Google also expanded its lineup of free live channels to over 300, adding new offerings such as Bloomberg TV Plus and Yahoo! Sports Network. The revamped Freeplay experience is accessible through the Freeplay app on the Google TV home screen.
