Google has increased the price of its Google TV Streamer to $149.99 due to rising component costs, effective August 31.

This change comes after a year since the device's launch at $99.99 in 2024, making it more expensive than some alternatives like the Roku Ultra and Amazon's Fire TV Cube.

The Google TV Streamer now matches the price of the Roku Ultra, which supports similar features like 4K at 60 frames per second, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Dolby Atmos, and Wi-Fi 6.

However, it still offers more storage and memory than some other streaming devices, including Walmart's Onn 4K Pro, which costs around $60 but runs Google TV with 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM.
