The Google TV Streamer has seen a significant price increase, now costing $149. This is a $50 hike from its original price of $99, which was set when it launched in 2024. The updated pricing is currently live on the Google Store and Best Buy websites.

The new price follows a similar trend seen with other streaming devices and tech products due to component shortages. For example, Amazon increased the price of its Fire TV Stick 4K Max by over 40% earlier this month, bringing it up to $84.99.

This is not an isolated incident as prices have been rising across various tech sectors. The Apple TV 4K has also seen a price hike, with the 64GB version now costing $199 and the 128GB version priced at $249. This follows Google's own price increase for its new lineup of Pixel 11 phones.
