Google has made minor updates to its canonicalization help documents, including the pages on what canonicalization is and how to fix canonicalization issues.

The changes were implemented on August 20th, but only recently came to light due to Barry Schwartz's busy schedule.

The Fix canonicalization issues page saw most of the changes, with an updated top section that breaks out the content in a more consumable format. The What is canonicalization page had fewer updates, but still underwent some revisions.

The changes aim to make it easier for users to understand and follow the guidance on canonicalization, without fundamentally altering the existing information.
