Google Unveils AI-Driven Design Tool 'Pics' to Take on Canva and Adobe
Google has entered the creative software market with its new AI-powered tool called Google Pics. The tool uses natural language processing to generate and refine images for everyday design tasks, including creating posters, social media posts, and illustrations.
Google Pics is built using the Nano Banana image generation model and will be integrated directly into Google Workspace. It will initially be available to most Workspace customers and subscribers to Google AI Pro or Ultra over the coming weeks.
The tool allows users to describe what they want in natural language, and it generates multiple versions of a requested image simultaneously. Google Pics also includes features such as object isolation, text modification, and translation within images, as well as collaborative editing capabilities.
