Google Unveils Dreambeans, a Hyper-Personalized Feed for Free
Google has made its experimental app Dreambeans available for free to test in the US. The hyper-personalized feed, which was previously subscription-only, combines data from various Google services such as Gmail, Google Photos, Calendar, Workspace, Search history, and YouTube to create personalized daily stories.
The setup process requires access to these various apps, and users can choose which ones Dreambeans can access. The app uses Google's Personal Intelligence system to learn users' interests and generate rich, customized visual stories that arrive every morning.
Each story is accompanied by unique artwork generated using an illustrated style, such as a recommendation for a hike showing the user and their friends at that location. Users can leave feedback on the stories, including voting them up or down, and also use the 'Ask anything' chat interface to get more information.
