Google has announced the release of its new AI model, Gemini 3.8, which comes in two variants: Gemini 3.8 Flash and Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber.

Gemini 3.8 Flash is touted as Google's 'most intelligent workhorse model' and will improve performance in software engineering, agentic tasks, and critical multi-step reasoning in specialized domains.

Initially available at the same introductory price as Gemini 3.7 Flash ($0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens), this variant is a significant upgrade to its predecessor.

Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, on the other hand, is described by Google as its 'most capable cybersecurity model with frontier-level performance in vulnerability detection and automated patching.'
