Google Unveils Gemini 3.8 Flash AI Models for Complex Tasks and Cybersecurity
Google has released two new AI models, Gemini 3.8 Flash and Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, designed for complex tasks and autonomous agents.
The Gemini 3.8 Flash model can work independently for a long time on complex tasks, taking more reasoning steps and calling tools multiple times, which may sometimes spend more tokens.
However, users can reduce the model's effort level or stay on Gemini 3.7 Flash if saving tokens is important.
The price of the new model remains the same as its predecessor at $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens.
Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, on the other hand, is designed for cybersecurity and can analyze large code bases, find vulnerabilities, and automatically generate patches.
In internal tests, Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber searched for various types of vulnerabilities in code in 20 programming languages and managed to find more than 70% of cases.
