Google Unveils Gemini 3.8 Flash with Enhanced AI Capabilities
Google has released its latest AI model, Gemini 3.8 Flash, for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. This new model is a significant improvement over its predecessor, Gemini 3.7 Flash, in software engineering, agentic tasks, and critical multi-step reasoning.
Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, a cybersecurity variant of the model, is specifically designed to discover vulnerabilities on its own. It surpasses both Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber and larger frontier models, with the Chrome Security team finding that it produced 2.6 times more correct patches to vulnerabilities in Chrome than commercial models.
The new model's pricing structure remains the same as Gemini 3.7 Flash for developer and enterprise users, at $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens. For consumers, it is available via the Google Gemini app, AI Mode in Google Search, and Gemini in Google Sheets.
