Google Unveils Latest Pixel Phones with Advanced AI Features
Google has unveiled its latest lineup of Pixel phones, featuring slimmer cameras and more AI features designed to help users accomplish tasks with fewer taps and swipes. The new models include the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL, which start at $900, $1,100, and $1,300 respectively.
The Pixel phones have been steadily increasing their AI capabilities since 2023, while Apple has been playing catch-up. The search giant hopes to give users a reason to buy new models and expand the number of people using its AI tools.
New features include live translation for videos, podcasts, and voice messages, as well as a tool called HiLight that lets users assign a color to their favorite contacts and have their phone light up in that color when they call. The Pixel Pro Fold starts at $1,900, with a price increase of $100 from last year's model.
In an effort to promote its AI tools, Google is offering a free six-month subscription to its AI Pro plan for users who purchase the more expensive Pixel 11 Pro or Pixel 11 Pro XL models. The company also introduced a tracking device called Pixel Tag, which will cost $30 for one unit or $100 for a four-pack.
