Google Unveils New Gemini AI Models with Focus on Efficiency and Cost-Effectiveness
Google has released three new AI models as part of its Gemini series: Gemini 3.6 Flash, Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, and Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber.
The Gemini 3.6 Flash model is the primary AI workhorse for everyday tasks, offering better capacity for coding, reasoning, and advanced multimodal capabilities. It has a context window of over one million tokens and uses around 17% fewer output tokens compared to its predecessor.
The Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite model is Google's most cost-effective option, designed for high-volume automation and scaling agentic workflows. It boasts incredibly low latency and is ideal for chatbots, customer service, and repetitive AI tasks.
The Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber model is a cybersecurity-focused model, specifically fine-tuned to identify and fix software vulnerabilities. It will be available initially through a limited-access program for governments and trusted partners.
